Have you ever eaten something super delicious, and then this thing is punching you in the gut from the inside out?  Yes, me too – it was delicious, though.

There is so much to say, so hard to put into words.

I feel like this today.  There is so much I want to say, but there is this sort of fog in my mind.  And the fog actually makes sense.  Quick story, I had a delicious shrimp ceviche the other day and I think I got food poisoned #worthit #seriously.  But all kidding aside, and as I rehydrate myself with some room-temperature water, sometimes these things happen.  It has been a long, long time… and it is always inconvenient.  Still, I am on duty – which means that I’ve done whatever is it that I had to do today – but I am spending the night over here instead than at home.  I’ve been dehydrated so I replenish liquids as much as I can.  If you ever get food poisoning, get plenty of fluids.

This is probably going to be a short article, because I am not being as coherent as I would like to be.  With that said, I am also using this opportunity to keep my levels of cognition, and control.  Fortunately, tomorrow will be a day off – therefore I’ll jet out of here as soon as duty section turn over occurs.  For me, luckily, I don’t have anything else pressing for the rest of the night… therefore I plan on getting some rest soon.  I just want to get some more water in me before I do that.

Just like a food poisoning episode, some stuff just needs to take its course. It might be unpleasant, but it is necessary.  Of course, I’ll be speaking in euphemisms and analogies – but it is biology.  We never know what will happen tomorrow of the day after – but in the end we can strive to control as much as we can on our current reality.  The present moment always has a lot of moving parts, even if it is seeming boring and uneventful.  And the decisions we take today will inevitably affect us in the near or distant future.

Funny thing, I actually chose the ceviche because I was looking for the “healthier alternative” – I am normally a moo-cow steak kind of guy. But you know what?  I can’t live in fear that something bad will happen when I try something new.  And at the same time, I cannot fully control the kitchens in a particular place.  This restaurant actually looked very nice… I had lunch there with my wife for Valentine’s.  I won’t disclose the name of the restaurant, but I did like the food… it tasted great.  Which comes to show you that sometimes stuff that its pleasant in the front end can lead to some inconvenient aftermath.

Personally, I tend to be a very positive person.  I know I have a moment of inconvenience, but this pales in comparison to the craziness other people are going through in their lives now.  I cannot be oblivious to that fact; therefore, I prefer to be grateful to get the lesser evil.  Afterall, after today I’ll be back in my house enjoying the comforts of my home in the company of my two favorite people, my wife and daughter.  There are a few things I need to work on, but those are personal goals, and they are also necessary.  For example, my taxes.  I have some paperwork I need to sort before it goes to our accountant.  I’ll be out of here first thing in the morning, so it’s not too bad.  I do have duty during the federal holiday (again), but that’s ok.

As I wrap this short article, I’m thinking about all the things I do want to talk about in the next couple of days… and there is plenty to talk about.  I have some additional Sammy-adventures.  And of course, a lot of stuff is going in America and around the world, and all those are worthy of their own article. And that’s what I like to do, tell stories that are actual history.

Hope everybody is having a great day.  I’ve finished my second large glass of water, so I am calling it a night.  I’ll be reading my manuscripts and old articles as I try to get some rest. HLC
