Because life is what we make of it...
Our Daughter-Dad Creative Project

Half Life Crisis began in 2020 as a collaboration when my daughter, Sammy, discovered a passion for abstract painting and black & white photography. The project quickly became our shared artistic vehicle — a way to capture the fleeting moments of life through art and literature.

The name "Half Life Crisis" is not a "midlife crisis." It is our artistic realization that life moves so fast we risk forgetting to live. This project remains our time capsule.

What started as Sammy's art portfolio evolved into a home for our collective intellectual and creative work, including my articles and books. We continue this work because we love it, and we are grateful you stopped by to discover it.

Our Commitment to Focus and Passion

Half Life Crisis remains our dedicated daughter-dad project, regardless of how far its reach extends. We created this space to serve as a high-quality, private platform solely for Sammy's artistic expression and for my strategic articles and books. We do this work not because we have to, but simply because we love to create it.

As our books and articles gained attention, our focus tightened. We realized that to maintain the integrity and high standards of our content — and to preserve the spirit of the project — we had to dedicate our time exclusively to our own creation. We prioritize quality over broad expansion.

We dedicate our time and love to this unique creative venture. Thank you for visiting and supporting the HLC team, and we hope you return often to see what new art and ideas tumble into our time capsule.

This is how Half Life Crisis™ evolved!

Our Personal Story: Why Half Life Crisis?

hlc-lierature-banner

The idea for Half Life Crisis came from a simple epiphany in 2011: life moves so quickly that we risk forgetting to live. In 2020, I finally launched this project as a dedicated space to share (and occasionally rant about) the life lessons and strategic insights gained while navigating modern adulthood.

This project is a shared venture with my family, especially my daughter Sammy, who provides the creative inspiration. We are grateful for your visit and hope you enjoy exploring our time capsule.

Meet the Half Life Crisis Team

Hello, I am J. Marcelo ("BeeZee"), and this is my daughter, Sammy. We both share a passion for creative expression and art in all its forms. Sammy discovered her passion for abstract painting and black-and-white photography in 2019, while I have been a multimedia artist for years. Today, Half Life Crisis is our exclusive creative partnership and platform.
