Sammy is the reason why our daughter-dad team to came to be. Sammy sees the world in a unique way and through her artwork she welcomes into her universe!

Sammy's Biography

Samantha B. Baqueroalvarez was born in Virginia, USA in 2011. The daughter of Marcelo and Alicia Baqueroalvarez - both parents have served over 20 years in the United States Navy. Sammy was diagnosed with non-verbal autism, but that does not stop her for being an exceedingly expressive child.

Sammy has lived her entire life in the city of Chesapeake, in Virginia - USA. But has traveled extensively to many states in the USA. From an early age she showed an uncanny affinity for the arts, especially music appreciation. Sammy does have perfect pitch, but she only sings when she is especially happy. In October 2020 Sammy discovered her passion for abstract painting while painting a watercolor piece for school.

From there her passion for the visual arts has continued to expand. Circa that time, Sammy discovered her fascination with Black and White photography and videography. As Sammy inherited her dad's old iPhone, and she demonstrated a very keen eye for artistic photography.

In October 2020, the same month Sammy discovered her passion for abstract painting HALF LIFE CRISIS was launched as an opportunity to showcase Sammy's artwork to the world in a safe platform she can call her own. Sammy's original artwork is not for sale at this time.

Any potential merchandise that features her artwork goes directly to Sammys piggybank. Sammy is the only one who can consent what to do with her original creations. Meanwhile, her signed artwork adorns her bedroom and different areas in our house.

There is plenty of artwork that we have not made articles for yet. In 2024 we will post her entire virtual gallery on www.halflifecrisis.com.

Half Life Crisis' Very Own Visual Artists!

Sammy's loves signing her original artwork you can tell it is a "Sammy Original" by intensity she puts behind the paintbrushes. Sammy will select a particular pallet of colors and build up in layers before she starts blending on the wet paint to trace her abstract figures.

Sammy also paints the sides of the stretch canvas in all sides of the frame. The unique patterns and combination of colors make each piece a one of a kind. Sometimes she experiments with mixed media, but she generally prefers acrylic over stretch canvas.

Her paintings represent. moments she has experienced or has caught her attention with deep observation. Examples include places, and events. Her choice of color and texture causes her paintings to come alive as they look different under different light conditions and angles. Pictures don't make it justice.

Her photography follows a similar, yet different path. She captures images that catch her attention, and she enjoys playing with light and reflections. A telltale sign that Sammy enjoys a memory on a photograph is when she turns it to black and white.

As far as videography, Sammy enjoys burst of expression and documenting moments and gatherings. She will review her footage sometimes for hours and hours. Although a few samples are added on this page, Sammy has thousands of hours' worth of footage. One day I'll put those together.

Finally, Sammy loves to sing. From an early age she enjoyed music and wanted to emulate her parents' musical abilities. Art being a significant trait in the BeeZee Family. However, the musical inclination was actually used as therapy for Sammy. By singing, Sammy's confidence grew expressing herself vocally.

Music was one of the first steps to bring Sammy into the arts. One thing her parents never do is force her to produce art. An artist thrives on inspiration, and both her parents understand that having a full set of professional level materials is a good Invesment, because when our young artist is ready, she does not need to fight the materials, but just focus on created one-of-a-kind art!
